About The Position

Provide analyst support in the areas of physical and information security, risk assessments, business continuity planning, required regulatory controls and internal policies and procedures. The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $55,000-$65,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform analysis of security data for accuracy and potential improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Cybersecurity, IT, Information Systems, or similar) or 2-3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Excellent ability to interpret rules and regulations in the financial or mortgage banking industry.
  • Ability to discern opportunities for improvement in all areas of assigned responsibility.
  • In-depth self-guided analytical expertise required.
  • Ability to manage projects or workload with little or no supervision.
  • Sense of ownership for work performed.
  • Familiarity with ticket management systems and project management processes.
  • Willing to travel within TowneBank's footprint
  • Willing to perform off-hours support and upgrades.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate across a broad base of internal customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a financial or mortgage banking institution.
  • Experience in information security practices and analytical reviews.
  • Experience managing Endpoint Security Tool suites for large deployments.
  • Experience managing Vulnerability Management Suites such as Tenable, Qualys or NexPose.
  • Experience securing Cloud Technologies such as IaaS and PaaS.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the information security team to ensure appropriate measures are in place to identify and prevent potential security risks throughout the network and endpoint environment
  • Assist with detecting vulnerabilities and working with the IT team to ensure timely remediation.
  • Ensure all servers and workstations have appropriate anti-virus and other security protection installed and updated
  • Perform research work in the area of information and network security to ensure continued progress in the protection of information assets
  • Participates in the development and review of risk assessments
  • Participates in the development and review of security-based procedures
  • Prepare management reports relative to the state of network and endpoint security
  • Participates in the implementation and review of appropriate user access throughout the network
  • Participates in the development and review of effective business continuity plans and business impact analysis.
  • Participates in the successful implementation and review of the vendors involved in network and endpoint security
  • Participates in the management of the incident response programs
