About The Position

Join GDIT as an Information Security Analyst / System Administrator (ISSO/SA) to support U.S. Army Europe in Fort Hood, TX, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and resources to support the warfighter. This role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for network, desktop, and systems hardware and software. You will install, configure, test, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on operating systems, application software, and systems to ensure maximum availability. You will also stay current with operating systems/software analysis and technological developments. The ISSO/SA will assist the ISSM in preparing and maintaining Risk Management Framework authorization packages in accordance with DoW 8510.01 and recommend system and network enhancements. Additionally, you will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer support, review and prioritize service requests, and ensure issues are resolved to customer satisfaction. This role is crucial for mission command support and requires tracking issues in the designated management system.

Requirements

  • 5 + years of related experience
  • BS/BA in information technology or related industry training in performing systems administration support is preferred.
  • A current IAT II Certification is required at time of hire.
  • Candidates should have at least one major industry certification (MCSA, CCNA, etc.)
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • US citizenship required
  • Relevant and related military or government experience performing systems administration support is desired.
  • Experience with Virtualization, Windows, Storage, Linux, SQL, and Active Directory.
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented and organized.
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and systems hardware and software.
  • Install, configure, test, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on operating systems, application software, and systems.
  • Remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.
  • Assist the ISSM to ensure that Risk Management Framework authorization packages are prepared and maintained in accordance with the DoW 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoW Information Technology (IT) and Secure Compartmented Information Facilities.
  • Recommend future system and network enhancements to improve security and operations.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer support, responding to, and tracking to completion team member requests for support.
  • Review open service requests, prioritizing them based on customer mission requirements, and ensuring that issues are closed to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Enter support requests and track issues in the designated issue management system and triage requests.
  • Maintain Secure Compartmented Information Facility Accreditation Packages.
  • Manage user accounts through full lifecycle (approve, create, enable, PKI registration, renew, reset, decommission).
  • Monitor systems and analyze alerts to detect incidents.
  • Perform incident response to contain threats and restore services.
  • Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues including office automation software, scanning, printing, file recovery, user account management, and password resets.
  • Perform cable management to add, move, install, and troubleshoot issues at user workstations and within data center areas.
  • Provide management of Active Directory Organizational Unit’s to ensure compliance with organization policy.
  • Install, Image, and Configure desktop workstations.
  • Occasional on-call support.
  • Occasional travel required.
