This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. Job Description Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is hiring a Information Operations Planner Level II to support full-spectrum cyber operations at Fort Meade, MD. As an Information Operations Planner Level II you will be responsible for providing support on information operation actions, policy and authorities, which my include developing information operation strategy, guidance, concept of operations, coordinating themes and messaging, gaining situational awareness and providing support to operational planning teams and working groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with Poly

  • Reviewing strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher ups and making recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts.
  • Developing plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design, and by using the JPP, within the milestones, deliverables, and interaction points for plans developed using APEX activities.
  • Providing input to briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assisting in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of combat, and contingency plans and operations initiatives.
  • Development of TTPs, CONOPs, COAs, and other related documents related to cyberspace operations.
  • Conducting research of current and emerging threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR) and development of COA to defend and protect resources.
  • JPGs and OPG/OPTs.
  • Training personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control on post-mission reporting and cyber tasking orders to ensure accuracy, standardization, and strict policy compliance.
  • Track and enforce submission timelines for post-mission data, actively notifying operational units of upcoming or overdue reports.
  • Monitor and coordinate missing team reports to eliminate data gaps and ensure timely, comprehensive mission completion.
  • Route critical communications by answering requests for information (RFIs) and forwarding emergency directive emails to the correct points of contact.
  • Analyze past operations to identify long-term trends, systemic compliance risks, and actionable lessons learned.
  • Support Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) leadership on special projects to improve compliance assessments and analytical products.
