This is an internal promotional position for current NC State Student Centers student employees. Job Title: Information Manager Tier: 3 Location: Talley Student Union Supervision: Reports to the supervising Graduate Assistant for the Information Desk Work Schedule: Shift-based; 8-20 hours per week between 7am and 1am; includes nights and weekends. Compensation: Minimum starting wage $13/hr with opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. In addition, Student Centers employees are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus up to $200. Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Train student Information Assistants for shifts at Talley Student Union, ensuring strong preparedness and confidence on the job Model and uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service across all aspects of information services Collaborate with the Information Assistant supervisor on hiring, training, evaluation, and assessment initiatives Support new employees by leading shadow shifts and providing ongoing coaching and feedback Maintain and routinely update Google Forms and spreadsheets for lost and found, charger checkout, FAQs, and other information systems Oversee the organization and operation of the lost and found, including coordinating lost and found markets Communicate regularly with University Police to arrange pickup of valuable items Collaborate with the Information Assistant supervisor to plan and facilitate regular staff meetings Foster staff engagement through icebreakers, games, and creative bulletin boards in the lost and found closet Attend bi-weekly meetings with Information Assistant supervisor Proactively communicate with the Information Assistant supervisor regarding operational needs and areas for improvement Assist with special projects as assigned by the Information Assistant supervisor and other NC State Student Centers administrators.
