About The Position

Endurion is seeking an experienced Information Operations, Information Advantage, Military Information Support Operations, influence, strategic communication, or related practitioner to instruct and facilitate JSOU Information & Influence education for tactical through executive-level international audiences. The SME will be responsible for moving beyond theoretical Information Operations concepts and explaining how information is incorporated into military decision-making, operational design, planning, targeting, influence, and assessment. This is a 1099 Independent Consultant role supporting a multi-year contract with the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) mission in support of USSOCOM. Episodic courses will be taught in locations worldwide.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate expertise in several of the following: Information as a joint function, Information environment analysis, Information Operations / Information Advantage, Influence planning, Human factors and behavioral influence, Target Audience Analysis, Informing, influencing, and persuading, Strategic communication, Military Information Support Operations / PSYOP, Operational design, Joint Planning Process, Center of Gravity analysis, Information-related Courses of Action, Wargaming information activities, Strategic narrative development, Propaganda and counterpropaganda, Information manipulation and malign influence, Integration of information into military planning, Authorities, capabilities, coordination, and employment of information-related capabilities, Ethical considerations in influence and information operations, Application of AI or generative AI to planning and information analysis.
  • Knowledge of Joint doctrine and processes associated with information in joint operations.
  • Knowledge of Influence planning methodologies and information-related capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Joint operational planning and staff integration.
  • Knowledge of Psychological, cultural, and behavioral considerations affecting influence.
  • Knowledge of Strategic communication and narrative development.
  • Knowledge of Propaganda, misinformation, disinformation, and information manipulation.
  • Skills in conducting or teaching target audience analysis.
  • Skills in developing information objectives, themes, messages, and effects.
  • Skills in integrating information into operational plans and orders.
  • Skills in facilitating COA development and wargaming.
  • Skills in teaching senior leaders how to provide guidance for information activities.
  • Skills in explaining complex information concepts to multinational audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Former or current Information Operations Officer.
  • PSYOP/MISO practitioner.
  • Information Advantage practitioner.
  • Joint or Combatant Command information planner.
  • SOF information operations experience.
  • Joint Staff, TSOC, USSOCOM, component command, or equivalent planning experience.
  • Experience advising O-5/O-6/GO/FO-level leaders.
  • Experience working with foreign military partners.

Responsibilities

  • Instructing and facilitating JSOU Information & Influence education for tactical through executive-level international audiences.
  • Explaining how information is incorporated into military decision-making, operational design, planning, targeting, influence, and assessment.
  • Delivering recurring, interim instruction.
