About The Position

This role provides general assistance, patient information, and directions to visitors, employees, and physicians. The Information Clerk is responsible for all activities associated with the Information Desk, attends Employee Forums to stay current on changes within the RSFH system, and trains new volunteers on Information Desk duties. The position also assists the Volunteer Director with clerical tasks as directed.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED.
Customer Service experience.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to use Patient Information computer program.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Basic knowledge of all relative safety codes (DEHC, HIPAA & JCAHO).
Neat, professional, and mature individual who projects a positive first image.
Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide general assistance, patient information, and directions to visitors, employees, and physicians.
Manage all activities associated with the Information Desk.
Attend Employee Forums and stay current on changes within the RSFH system.
Train new volunteers on Information Desk duties.
Assist Volunteer Director with clerical tasks as directed.
Assist Volunteer Coordinator with scheduling issues in their absence and with departmental clerical issues.
