About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an opening for an Information Assurance Engineer supporting our site in Pittsfield, MA. This role involves applying systems engineering concepts, understanding verification and validation processes, and familiarity with cybersecurity specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, STIGs, and other government security specifications and guidelines. The engineer will be responsible for recognizing and reporting system security concerns, communicating issues and corrective actions, and contributing to multiple work groups. The position requires the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Solid application of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Solid understanding of verification and validation process.
  • Familiar with cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, STIGs and other government security specifications and guidelines.
  • Aware of business objective and Engineering role in achieving.
  • Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Solid ability to clearly recognize and report relevant system security concerns and issues.
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills.
  • Creative thinker, good multi-tasker.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
