About The Position

The Information Assurance Engineer supports the system security design effort, security requirements analysis, and security requirements flow down to the program element. The role involves executing security testing, developing security documentation, and participating in Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities to ensure the correct implementation of security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Considerable application of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Considerable understanding of verification and validation process.
  • Familiar with cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, STIGs and other government security specifications and guidelines.
  • Aware of business objective and Engineering role in achieving.
  • Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Considerable ability to clearly recognize and report relevant system security concerns and issues.
  • Receives and acts on instructions from immediate supervisor.
  • Ability to participate in and contribute to multiple work groups.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • May have some contact outside Engineering or with external customers.
  • Considerable written and verbal communications skills.
  • Creative thinker, good multi-tasker.
  • Considerable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
