About The Position

Provides operational, quality improvement, and management consulting services related to nursing informatics needs across the organization (inpatient, ambulatory, ED, Peri-op, PBMU, regional sites, and Research as applicable. Plans implements, and evaluates projects related to system development, operational and strategic planning, and policy development to improve the quality of care. Provides leadership, expertise, education, program development, and consultation services to promote the standards of nursing practice. Works collaboratively with the Information Services (IS), Project Management Office (PMO), clinical leaders, management team, and other health care professionals in the pursuit of better outcomes through the optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) and other innovative technology solutions (i.e. digital health, population health, patient safety, and quality initiative work). Collaborates with leadership through process improvement using systems for daily improvement (SDI) methodology and supports program development and organizational mission and goals.

Requirements

Registered Nurse, BSN.
Minimum two (2) years of work experience in nursing, including pediatrics and IT-related work experience.
Education and training experience in electronic health record (EHR) and informatics concepts.
Current Washington State nursing license.
At time of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions. Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers.
As a condition of employment: Current BLS for Health Care Providers is to be maintained at all times by all nurses.

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics, Nursing Administration or related field.
Certification in Nursing Informatics or related field.
Knowledgeable on Cerner and/or Epic functionality.
