About The Position

Onset Technologies is seeking an experienced Informatica MDM/Data Governance Consultant to support enterprise data engineering and governance initiatives for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. This role focuses on implementing master data management solutions, ensuring data quality, and supporting large-scale data integration efforts within the SHARP environment. The consultant will work closely with business and technical teams to understand data-related challenges, define solutions, and implement data governance frameworks. This role requires deep expertise in Informatica tools, strong analytical skills, and experience working with large enterprise data environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with Informatica tools (PowerCenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, Entity360)
  • 10+ years of experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data solutions
  • Strong experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Austin, TX (3 days/week required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with large-scale data platforms such as Snowflake
  • Experience with Python scripting for automation and API integration
  • Experience in healthcare or public health environments
  • Experience working with state agencies or government organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Master’s degree or additional relevant experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support Data Engineering and Data Governance initiatives within the SHARP environment
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into data governance and MDM solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement Master Data and Reference Data solutions
  • Establish and enforce data quality rules using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
  • Work with stakeholders to define data standards, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Perform data analysis and profiling to improve data integrity and consistency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data across systems
  • Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation
  • Conduct system analysis, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis
  • Support automation efforts using scripting (e.g., Python) and APIs
  • Ensure data readiness and integrity for downstream applications and reporting
