This position ensures accurate student data is available for State and management reports by gathering and inputting student information, course information, schedules, and other vital information into the District’s student database system. The Information Management Technician (Elementary / Middle School) adheres to instructions and prescribed methods and procedures to meet all required deadlines. This role involves creating school Master Schedules, Bell Schedules, Secondary Bell Schedules, and Course Dictionaries by entering required information into the district student database system. A key responsibility is ensuring the accuracy of all student data entered for State Full Time Equivalent (FTE) reporting and maintaining knowledge of current State Department of Education requirements and deadlines for FTE reporting. The technician will enter information on new enrollments, withdrawals, and renewals, assign student numbers, enter individual student schedules, and process report cards, grade changes, and incomplete notices. The role also includes generating and interpreting reports from various systems, confirming grades, notifying teachers of incomplete grades, and assisting school personnel with data entry and retrieval. Maintaining and securing confidential files for FTE documentation and updating the system with information regarding students promoted to middle/high school are also essential. Additionally, the technician will create and assign identification numbers to personnel, interact effectively with various stakeholders, perform mathematical computations, monitor Class Size Reduction progress, and safeguard confidential information. Compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies, participation in training programs, and adherence to safety rules and federal/state laws are expected. Other duties as assigned by administration are also part of the role.
