Requirements

  • College diploma in nursing
  • Must demonstrate good computer skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and clinical software
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, with the ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade
  • Bilingualism required, including understanding various messages, verbal exchange on topics related to tasks to be performed, and writing simple messages.
  • Active member of the OIIQ

Nice To Haves

  • One to 2 years of relevant work experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in a regulatory context will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line medical support to subjects.
  • Intervene and document adverse events and verify follow-up of adverse events during the study, including telephone follow-up.
  • Communicate relevant information to the medical team to ensure overall subject safety.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to advise and inform subjects on medical issues related to studies.
  • Administer appropriate treatment as needed.
  • Store all medications in site emergency carts, cabinets, and bags.
  • Share knowledge gained in preparing special projects.
  • Ensure the informed consent form is explained, understood, and appropriately completed by the subject.
  • Perform general tasks according to the protocol or study flow (e.g., vital signs, electrocardiograms, measurement of physiological data, distribution and monitoring of meals, preparation of required materials and equipment, etc.).
  • Perform technical activities related to their area of expertise and/or related to specific training (e.g., catheter insertion and venipuncture, medication administration (including intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous injections), blood donation, vaccination, etc.).
  • Perform monitoring activities related to their area of expertise and/or related to specific training (e.g., Holter, telemetry, etc.).
  • Actively participate in improving the work environment by identifying problems and proposing concrete actions or corrective measures.
  • Provide a good quality customer service experience.
  • May be assigned other clinical tasks.
  • Responsible for executing activities in accordance with applicable company and division policies, standard operating procedures, and operational guides, and for performing other tasks assigned by management.
