Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working with oncology patients in a clinical setting.
  • A two-year degree in Medical Assisting or LPN.
  • Prior experience in high-level customer service roles within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with surgery scheduling.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Empathy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in handling insurance authorizations.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Athena and EPIC.
  • Background in infertility care.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with our dedicated patient care team to develop tailored infertility treatment plans.
  • Efficiently enter orders and schedule patients for appointments and surgical procedures within our EHR system, ensuring seamless access to necessary services and tests.
  • Coordinate workflow across interdisciplinary teams, such as radiology and imaging, to facilitate optimal patient experiences.
  • Guide patients through the scheduling of procedures, surgical preparations, and insurance requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary consents, pre-certifications, and referrals are in place.
  • Confirm that patients have the appropriate medications and prescriptions for their treatments.
  • Provide crucial pre- and post-operative surgical education, ensuring a smooth and informed journey for every patient.
