About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a role focused on wound management in post-acute care settings. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified trainers and utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The practice involves bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states, with comprehensive physician-level wound management training and a fellowship program. Physicians are W2 employees, earning an average of $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. Paid training is provided during onboarding and a 6-month wound care fellowship.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
• Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Travel within a 40-60 mile radius of the practice location.
