About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a role focused on wound management. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility, with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified trainers and utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies. The practice involves providing bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. Physicians receive comprehensive training and a wound fellowship. This is a mobile practice, requiring travel within a 40-60 mile radius, visiting 2-3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20-30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is done in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Become an expert in wound management.
Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR.
