About The Position
Seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient clinical coverage, focusing on infectious disease consultations and management. The physician will manage antimicrobial therapy, perform minor procedures, and treat complex infections such as HIV, hepatitis, and tropical diseases. Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in Indiana (IN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Microscopic specimen evaluation
- Management of vascular access devices/central venous catheters
- Intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents
- Aspiration of abscess

Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient infectious disease consultations and follow-up care.
- Manage antimicrobial therapy and monitor patient responses.
- Perform minor procedures such as abscess aspiration and lumbar punctures.
- Evaluate and treat patients with complex infections including HIV, hepatitis, and tropical diseases.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists on patient management.
