ChristianaCare is seeking an aspiring Infection Preventionist I to join their team and develop expertise in one of healthcare's most critical disciplines. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and implementing fundamental infection prevention and control (IPC) components including conducting surveillance, assisting with investigations of outbreaks, rounding, and education for all caregivers. The Infection Preventionist I will primarily focus on surveillance of healthcare-associated infections to include chart review, data abstraction, data collection and application of the National Health and Safety Network (NHSN) definitions. In addition, knowledge and skills of other infection prevention and control practices will be developed, such as education program design, policy and procedure review, construction, accreditation readiness, high level disinfection and sterilization and participation in quality performance improvement activities to promote patient safety.
