About The Position

HCT seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Interim Infection Preventionist (RN) for a 300+ bed acute care hospital. This role involves leading the hospital's infection prevention and infection surveillance program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing infection prevention initiatives across various patient care areas. The position also includes conducting infection surveillance, outbreak investigations, staff education, and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous infection prevention experience in an acute care hospital is required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
• Experience with Meditech EMR and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital's infection prevention and infection surveillance program.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory standards.
• Partner with clinical leaders to implement infection prevention initiatives across multiple patient care areas.
• Conduct infection surveillance, outbreak investigations, staff education, and performance improvement activities.
