As an Infection Preventionist I, you will help implement, promote, and maintain an effective infection prevention program across patient-facing environments. In this role, you will oversee infection prevention activities for two hospitals, support local teams, and help ensure both locations remain prepared for regulatory requirements. You will conduct infection surveillance and investigative activities, assess communicable disease exposures and environmental risks, and support performance improvement activities related to infection prevention efforts. You will also provide consultation and education to caregivers and contribute to policy development and research initiatives that promote patient safety, reduce infection risks, and support high-quality care. A caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with travel between Euclid and Mentor hospitals, working one day per week at Mentor Hospital and four days per week at Euclid Hospital. This position also includes an on-call rotation of one week per quarter.
