The Infection Prevention Level I Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the MultiCare Health System Infection Prevention Program. This position is required to develop, analyze, and interpret a variety of information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates, requiring independent decision-making and analytical problem solving. The role supports daily surveillance, analysis of infection trends, staff education, and regulatory compliance. The IP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and prevent transmission of infectious agents. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.
