About The Position
This is a full-time opportunity for a Staff Educator and Infection Control Nurse at Dover Behavioral Health System, a 104-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Dover, Delaware. The hospital serves adolescents and adults with inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Dover Behavioral Health System is recognized for its outstanding patient satisfaction, ranking 6th nationally in 2020. The role involves developing and implementing onboarding and orientation programs, monitoring new hires, designing training programs, and managing the Healthstream system for hospital-wide education.
Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in DE (or eligible to receive or renew)
- Three or more years of related staff development/health care training experience
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure they meet competencies and deliver high-quality care.
- Monitor new hires' progress, participate in evaluations, and provide ongoing education to help them excel in their roles.
- Design and facilitate training programs, CEUs, and in-services to address staff development and hospital needs, partnering with HR and the Management Team.
- Manage the Healthstream system to provide education to the hospital, including facilitating the Annual Competency Fair and other hospital-wide training and in-services.
