About The Position

The Infection Control Preventionist is a professional who is responsible for ensuring compliance with state, federal and JCAHO standards relating to infection control. This person is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the hospital wide infection control program. Position collaborates with and acts as a consultant for the department managers and staff. Advises, implements and evaluates measures necessary to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital and community.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in infection control.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and JCAHO standards related to infection control.
  • Skills in planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of infection control programs.
  • Consultation and collaboration skills with department managers and staff.
  • Ability to advise, implement, and evaluate measures to prevent infection spread.
