About The Position
The Infection Control Practitioner is responsible for the surveillance, analysis and reporting of infections, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure rigorous infection prevention and control standards within the Hospital, in compliance with state, federal and other regulatory agencies requirements, and the Hospital’s standard of care and mission and goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related science
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the field of epidemiology/infection control
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Ability to read and write in English and perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and complete the required training satisfactorily.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Infection Control – If none at time of hire should be obtained within two (2) years after hire.
