About The Position

As the child’s first teacher, you will hold a very dear place in a parent’s heart forever! As an Infant Toddler Teacher at the award winning Primrose School of Evergreen, San Jose, CA, you’ll help our little ones feel safe, loved, and confident while sparking early curiosity through nurturing, play based learning. Whether your background is as an infant teacher, a lead preschool teacher, daycare assistant, a toddler specialist, or a preschool teacher assistant, you will find a home here! We may have multiple teaching opportunities in our Two's, Preschool, and Transitional Kindergarten programs. Requirements

MUST have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better required. (Child development, Child-family-community, two Curriculum classes), along with 3 units in Infant/Toddler required.
Passion for child development and a desire to love and nurture young kids.
Must meet required state background check
Must be able to work on an iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred

Responsibilities

Foster children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development through structured routines and purposeful play
Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom for infants and toddlers
Implement provided lesson plans facilitate small group learning, story time, music & movement, sensory activities, and more
Maintain open communication regarding children's development and classroom activities with families
Complete and monitor continual evaluation of each child’s developmental needs
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
