About The Position

Requirements

  • Must comply with the minimum educational standards as set forth by the company and current governmental regulations.
  • Previous experience caring for young children, 6 weeks - 5 years of age.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be of good character and reputation.
  • Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional heath to perform job duties satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children.
  • Must speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management, and parents.
  • Must be able to read and write English well enough to prepare, complete and maintain administrative forms and records as required by current governmental regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of infant growth and development.
  • Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by State and company regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and supervise the infant care program as designated by The Learning Experience while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the safety and well-being of the children.
  • Serve in a co-teaching capacity based on center enrollment.
  • Maintain the safety and well-being of the children and staff while implementing the Infant program in alignment with company policies, philosophies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all current governmental rules and regulations that pertain to the operation of The Learning Experience centers.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, Student Enrollment Packet, and Curriculum Guides.
  • Implement and follow all childcare procedures as mandated in the current governmental rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Compile individual observation and feeding/diapering reports on daily basis, maintaining a file on each child as well as supplying the parents with daily communication letter.
  • Report all incidents immediately to the Center Leadership team, filing the appropriate form and working with the Center Leadership team for resolution and classroom improvement.
  • Maintain "Tour Ready" classroom.
  • Attend meetings as requested.
  • Support center staff as requested.
  • Help to maintain the general appearance of the center and its common areas.
