About The Position

Brella, established in 2019, is seeking an Infant Teacher in Pasadena to transform childcare. Our mission is to create a flexible and developmentally enriching environment for today's families. We are looking for educators who are passionate about early childhood education, human development, and psychology, and who are committed to nurturing children's confidence, compassion, and curiosity through a play-based curriculum inspired by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and RIE. This role offers an opportunity to focus on infants and toddlers, dive deeper into our curriculum, and collaborate effectively with a team, children, and parents in a dynamic work environment. Requirements

  • At least 18+ years of age with a High School Diploma and 12 Early Childhood Education units including 3 units specific to infant care (Required by Licensing)
  • At least 12+ months of experience working in a licensed child care facility
  • Must meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services / Licensing

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and loving environment for children in collaboration with co-teachers
  • Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
  • Engage children with age-appropriate, stimulating, and thoughtful materials
  • Plan and implement Brella curriculum and develop daily modifications as needed per age group or emergent class interests and demonstrate that the target curriculum engagement/quality elements are being achieved
  • Keep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelines
  • Collaborate and communicate respectfully with coworkers creating positive relationships and center culture
  • Communicate effectively with families during drop off/pick ups and provide curriculum and development updates
