Requirements
- Experience working with infants or toddlers preferred
- AA in Early Childhood Education preferred, or willingness to obtain a CDA within 6 months
- Leadership experience is a plus
- Ability to pass FBI, DOJ, and Child Abuse background checks
- Reliable, nurturing, and patient personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for Early Childhood Education and child development
- Creative, energetic, and eager to learn and grow
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, loving, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and developmental growth
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum
- Encourage sensory exploration, creativity, movement, and early learning through play
- Maintain positive daily communication with families
- Document children’s learning through photos, displays, and classroom materials
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance
- Collaborate with coworkers to create a positive and supportive team environment
- Post and maintain weekly lesson plans consistent with Discovery Kidzone philosophy
