About The Position

Infant Teacher – Nurture, Inspire, Grow The Goddard School in Happy Valley, Oregon is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team! At our School, we put our teachers first—because they put our children first. If you have a passion for working with infants and creating a loving, responsive environment, we’d love to meet you. No Nights or Weekends! School Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
  • Completion of state-required pre-service training
  • Strong communication skills with families and team members
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and actively engage in infant care routines

Nice To Haves

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, meeting their individual needs
  • Foster secure attachments through consistent and responsive interactions
  • Support developmental milestones through sensory-rich, age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain detailed daily records of feeding, sleeping, and developmental progress
  • Create a calm, clean, and stimulating classroom designed for infants
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met
  • Supervise infants closely during all activities, including tummy time, feeding, and rest
  • Build trusting relationships with families through open, daily communication
  • Share updates on each child’s day, progress, and developmental achievements
  • Partner with parents to support each child’s unique routine and needs
  • Work closely with co-teachers and leadership to maintain a supportive classroom
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
