About The Position

Magical Beginnings is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and EEC Certified Infant Teacher to join their team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants, fostering their development through responsive caregiving and play-based learning. The Infant Teacher will build trusting relationships with families, follow individualized care schedules, observe and document developmental milestones, and maintain a clean and safe classroom. Collaboration with colleagues and adherence to EEC regulations are also key aspects of the position. Requirements

  • Massachusetts EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare center, daycare, or early childhood education program.
  • Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced childcare environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Full-time availability between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm.

Nice To Haves

  • CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging infant classroom that promotes healthy development and secure attachments.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and sensory learning experiences aligned with Massachusetts Early Learning Guidelines.
  • Foster each infant's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development through responsive caregiving and play-based learning.
  • Build trusting relationships with families by providing daily communication regarding routines, milestones, and developmental progress.
  • Follow individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care schedules while maintaining each child's comfort and well-being.
  • Observe, document, and support children's developmental milestones and individual learning goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom while following all health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure active supervision and maintain required teacher-to-child ratios at all times.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership to create a positive, supportive team environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
