About The Position

Jovie is hiring an experienced, engaging, and fun nanny to work with various families, providing care for young infants and toddlers while their parents work. Most assignments are Monday – Friday during traditional working hours. Jovie Nannies + Sitters has over 20 years of experience providing childcare solutions, offering nannies and sitters training, resources, and support to enhance their skills and confidence. Requirements

  • Genuinely enjoy children and be an engaging, creative, child-focused individual
  • Value communication with parents and coworkers
  • Available at least five days per week to work 6 - 9 hour shifts between 7am - 7pm
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to assignments
  • At least 1 year of day-to-day infant experience
  • Ability to provide 3 references (2 related to working with children, paid or unpaid, and 1 character reference)
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Reliability
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for young infants and toddlers
  • Engage children through fun, play, reading, arts and crafts, and similar activities in families' homes
  • Communicate effectively with parents and coworkers
  • Bring a Kid-Kit with age-appropriate activities and games to childcare assignments
  • Clean up activities
  • Spend part of each day outside, weather permitting, engaging in active play
  • React quickly to certain situations
  • React to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
