About The Position

Premier Swim Academy is looking for a fun, energetic, and experienced early childhood development professional to join their team as an Infant and Toddler Swim Instructor. This role focuses on their Parent and Me program, which helps children ages 4 months to 36 months hit important developmental milestones while learning to swim. The position is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children, education, and water activities, aiming to make a significant impact on young lives and assist parents in their child's swimming journey.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in child development or related education fields
• 4+ years of working with children aged 0-3 years
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support certification
• Available on weekday mornings and/or weekends

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children with disabilities or adaptive learning needs
• Previous aquatics or instructor experience
• A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Child Psychology
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging Parent and Me classes, teaching swim lessons designed for infants and toddlers that combine early education and child development milestones with fun, interactive water activities, following a set curriculum.
• Supervise and safeguard all participants during group and private lessons, and on the pool deck, ensuring adherence to safety rules.
• Share important updates with supervisors quickly and clearly.
• Maintain open, positive communication with parents, offering feedback on their child’s progress and education journey.
• Provide excellent customer service to families, answering questions, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the swim programs.
• Build great relationships with fellow employees and instructors, working together to meet Premier’s education goals.
• Attend quarterly in-service training programs to enhance skills and continue education.
