About The Position

igus is seeking an experienced and motivated Stage and Theater Industry Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts to support and grow igus’s market share in the stage/theater industries for the United States. The candidate will be responsible for leveraging the success of the existing product lines to drive future growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the industrial products industry, preferably with stage and theater customers or experience with engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of sales representatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within the United States minimum travel of 60%-80% with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and increase market share nationally.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key customers and maintain regular contact to identify sales opportunities.
  • Managing key accounts and participate in marketing meetings to increase igus’s exposure in the stage and theater industry.
  • Work with the igus product development team to provide feedback on customer needs and product trends in the market.
  • Work closely with the outside sales team to ensure they meet their targets and maximize their potential for this industry.
  • Understand the landscape and sub-industries of stage and theater to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors and customer feedback to direct or influence sales strategies and ensure igus remains competitive in the market.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to develop new business and maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Conduct global pricing discussions to ensure that the product lines are priced competitively.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the team, including other duties assigned.
