About The Position

Develop, implement, and supervise industry-aligned coursework that provides students with technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and career readiness. Deliver effective instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and supports the success of all students. This position supports hands-on EMT skills labs and scenario-based training under the direction of the lead EMT instructor. Assists with patient assessments, EMS equipment, trauma and medical skills, communication, documentation, skills stations, scenarios, and student feedback/preparation for practical testing and the NREMT process.

Requirements

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
  • Five (5) years of professional work experience in industry
  • Appropriate certifications or licenses in the industry field
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic classroom management and planning skills
  • Basic organizational skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
  • Ability and desire to work as a team member
  • Must hold a current EMT or Paramedic certification and be actively working in EMS.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Collaborate with support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
