About The Position

Teads is seeking an Industry Director, Automotive to join our team in New York. In this highly strategic role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and expanding deep partnerships with major automotive brands (OEMs) and their dedicated agency holding company units across the East Coast, while also serving as an overlay across Teads Automotive partnerships nationally. You will play a critical role in identifying new revenue opportunities, building long-term client partnerships, and delivering innovative advertising solutions across video, CTV, programmatic, and data-driven offerings. The ideal candidate has an established network of automotive clients and a deep understanding of how to influence complex auto media buying structures.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of digital media, ad tech, or advertising sales experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years dedicated specifically to the Automotive vertical.
  • Proven track record and current, active relationships within major automotive brands and/or the agency teams that hold the keys to auto accounts (particularly within Omnicom and other large holding companies).
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic buying, high-impact video, CTV, and advanced data/measurement strategies.
  • Familiarity with automotive-specific measurement tools and attribution partners (e.g., Polk/S&P Global, J.D. Power, Oracle/Datalogix, foot-traffic attribution) is highly preferred.
  • A verifiable history of consistently meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar revenue quotas through complex, consultative enterprise sales.
  • Strong relationship builder with a reputation for credibility and trust in the marketplace

Responsibilities

  • Drive Automotive Revenue: Own and exceed revenue targets on owned accounts by developing strategic relationships with automotive OEMs and their specialized agency holding company units across the East Coast market, while also supporting revenue growth across US Automotive.
  • Deepen Agency & Brand Partnerships: Build and scale senior-level relationships with decision-makers at major agency networks managing key auto accounts (e.g., Omnicom, WPP, etc.) as well as directly with OEM brand leads.
  • Deliver Strategic Insights: Act as a trusted advisor to automotive marketers by bringing them high-impact insights on automotive consumer journeys, CTV/video cross-screen measurement, and cookieless audience targeting (e.g., matching OEM first-party CRM data).
  • Execute Joint Business Plans: Develop and negotiate multi-million dollar Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and upfront commitments with key automotive agency partners and enterprise clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams—including Teads Studio (for custom interactive auto ad formats), Campaign Management, Insights, and Media Strategy—to deliver flawless campaign execution and measurable ROI (e.g., foot traffic, dealer visits, configuration completions).
  • Market Presence: Represent Teads as an automotive subject matter expert in the US marketplace and at major industry events (e.g., Auto Shows, IAB, and auto-specific summits).
