About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for an Industrial Waste Treatment Plant Operator, to join our team in Puyallup, Washington. The Operator must have at least two years of wastewater treatment operating experience. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and inspecting water treatment systems at the treatment plant. Key duties include the collection of water samples per state regulations, recording data, preparing regulatory reports, and adjusting chemical feed rates. The position will also be required to assist with the wastewater collection system on a regular basis. You will play a critical role in upholding our commitment to safety and quality standards and ensuring that all operations meet regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Requirements

  • At least two years of wastewater treatment operating experience.
  • 2+ Years experience with chemical process management, waste water, storm water, water quality, and/or hazardous waste.
  • 2+ Years experience performing analysis of influent/effluent flows of waste liquids, to ensure safe (PH) potentials of hydrogen and heavy metal levels are maintained.
  • 2+ Years experience with acid/base solution storage and transfer processes.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Industrial Waste Treatment Facilities and equipment.
  • Provide industrial waste processing, treatment and disposal, adhering to federal, state, county and Boeing regulations.
  • Perform analysis of influent/effluent flows of waste liquids, to ensure safe (PH) potentials of hydrogen and heavy metal levels are maintained.
  • Respond to environmental hazard spills, working closely with Boeing and outside agencies emergency response units.
  • Collect water samples per state regulations.
  • Record data and prepare regulatory reports.
  • Adjust chemical feed rates.
  • Assist with the wastewater collection system on a regular basis.
