About The Position

Crossroads C&I- Sarnia has an opening for an Industrial Sewing Operator to join our team and enhance our business. In this role, you will sew Custom Removable Reusable Insulation Systems according to specifications in a production environment. You will utilize your current skills to operate a single needle and double needle machine. Also will need to know how to read a simple drawing and cut material. The Industrial Sewing Machine Operator is required to sew Custom Removable Reusable Insulation Systems according to specifications in a production environment. They will utilize their current skills to operate a single needle and double needle machine. Also will need to know how to read a simple drawing and cut material. JOB SUMMARY: Operate industrial sewing machines to sew various material types together by guiding material under machine needle Read and understand shop drawings and work orders Meet delivery deadlines by completing work tasks in a timely manner per quality standards Use documentation system to track work activity Understand quality requirements and how this position affects quality such as: on time delivery, material tracking and meeting customer requirements. Must show good judgment when issues arise such as customer requirements, variances in raw material quality and variances in end product quality. Prepare machine by changing needles and thread, oiling and changing bobbin, and securing attachments. Complete maintenance on sewing machines (other than major repairs) Must follow company policies and procedures Must follow Safety Policies. Other job tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Fluent in the English language.
  • Must be able to follow instructions consistently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to read shop orders and follow sewing standards.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years Previous industrial sewing experience would be a plus.
