About The Position

Nesco Resource is seeking skilled Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for a contract-to-hire position in Clinton Township. This role involves operating industrial sewing machines to assemble seating fabric, leather, and foam into complete seat covers and sets, adhering to production and service order requirements. The position offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements, quality initiatives, and maintain a safe, organized workspace. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed. The pay rate ranges from $18-$21 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing experience in a cut-and-sew environment.
Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, materials, and patterns.
Ability to consistently meet quality standards and production deadlines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders.
Assemble components into complete seat cover sets according to specifications.
Support material flow through sewing and embroidery operations.
Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on machines and equipment.
Inspect products for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to standards.
Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
Report nonconformities, hazards, or unsafe conditions.
Support quality systems (ISO/TS 16949) and environmental standards (ISO 14000).
Participate in problem-solving and investigative processes as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
