About The Position

The Industrial Sewing Machine Mechanic I performs routine inspections, basic maintenance, and straightforward repairs on industrial sewing machines under guidance while learning safe diagnosis and documentation. The role supports internal manufacturing teams and, as assigned, customers, distributors, and field personnel. Level I work includes cleaning, lubrication, inspections, basic adjustments, identifying common sewing-quality issues, assisting with approved wear-part replacement, and supporting equipment setup and startup. The mechanic learns machine controls and approved program selection, supports tests with specified production materials and attachments, and records work orders, parts, and findings in MaintainX or another designated system. A three-month orientation covers safety and equipment identification, supervised troubleshooting and repairs, and assessment of foundational task competency.
