Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial machinery, with demonstrated readiness to lead or mentor others (prior lead/supervisory experience a plus).
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with or aptitude for budgeting, forecasting, pricing/bid preparation, and account management.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and develop technicians.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and requirements; ability to model and lead a strong safety culture.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including comfort presenting performance reports directly to clients.
  • A good driving record is essential; ability to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Ability to perform tasks and manage competing priorities independently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional business, technical, or leadership training/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hands-on technical involvement, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial and industrial machinery (engines, conveyors, electrical systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment) as needed to support the team and stay credible with technicians and clients.
  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to establish and guide work procedures; oversee precision fitting, gear/shaft alignment, and equipment adjustment to tight tolerances.
  • Oversee inspection, measurement, and fault-identification processes to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently, using the customer's onsite maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Oversee identification and ordering of replacement parts and maintain inventory of parts and tools for the team.
  • Maintain and expand technical knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems through ongoing training and industry workshops.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts; ensure all orders and contracts are completed to the client's satisfaction while maximizing the financial benefit to the Company.
  • Compile and present monthly/quarterly reports covering safety, financial, technical, and operational performance on a client-agreed schedule.
  • Review internal and client-facing operational processes to maximize efficiency; manage change effectively, both financially and technically; gather customer feedback through satisfaction surveys and site visits.
  • Partner with management to set and achieve profit and business targets for assigned accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities, prepare bids and pricing proposals for existing and prospective clients, and actively market the Company's services to the client base.
  • Manage a team of field technicians; lead or attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals, identify training needs, and monitor the ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Set the example for correct safety behavior at all times; ensure familiarity with and adherence to OSHA standards; support the rollout of safety initiatives and report incidents immediately.
  • Apply HR policies and practices effectively; monitor team satisfaction and provide guidance to direct reports as needed.
