About The Position

This role is responsible for cleaning equipment to meet federal, state, and plant sanitation standards. The Industrial Sanitation team member takes direction from supervisors, participates in completing weekly and daily cleaning tasks from checklists, and assists in assembling equipment and lines to prepare for production runs. This position also performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic English communication skills.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be willing and able to learn skills necessary to accurately input data into computer manufacturing systems.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
  • May be required to push or pull wheeled equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans equipment to federal and state sanitation and plant sanitation standards.
  • Takes direction from supervisors in relation to assigned cleaning activities.
  • Participates in completion of weekly and daily cleaning tasks from cleaning checklists.
  • Participates in assembling equipment and lines to prepare for week’s production runs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
