About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with large-scale cooling systems, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems (preferred in industrial settings)
• Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, and control panels
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required for refrigerant handling)

Nice To Haves

• RETA certification (e.g., CARO/CIRO) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems
• Diagnose and repair system issues in ammonia and/or Freon-based refrigeration systems
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
• Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime
• Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and facility managers
