About The Position

HiFyve is hiring an Industrial Refrigeration / HVAC Technician in Hicksville, NY! This is a hands-on position supporting equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system installations. We're looking for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration / HVAC Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Experience with boilers and related facility equipment
  • Familiarity with CMMS maintenance systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience preferred
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial facility preferred
  • Knowledge of desiccant dehumidifiers

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair industrial HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems
  • Troubleshoot walk-in coolers and freezers, cooling tunnels, boilers, and related equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and operational readiness
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues affecting HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Respond to work orders and service calls and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC-related equipment, systems, and components
  • Document completed work, labor time, and materials used
  • Assist with developing SOPs for recurring maintenance activities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Identify and prepare the tools, parts, and materials needed to complete assigned work
  • Work independently while prioritizing maintenance needs throughout the facility
  • Follow applicable safety procedures and requirements
