About The Position

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Industrial Project Manager to join their multidisciplinary team in Nashville. This role is within the Industrial Power and Process division, focusing on utility and manufacturing facility projects. The position will also involve business development, marketing, and client management duties. Requirements

  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Design Building and Design Bid Build project execution methods.
  • Knowledge of project approach and system design.
  • Willingness to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. degree in Project Management or a technical related field such as Engineering, Construction Management or Facility Management preferred.
  • Professional Engineers (PE) license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of projects from a design or EPC role.
  • Provide coordination throughout the lifecycle of the project from initial feasibility studies through engineering and construction.
  • Prepare project scope, budget, schedule, and capital funding documentation.
  • Manage, direct, and supervise projects to ensure they conform to commitments related to time, quality, and cost.
  • Deal directly with clients to establish project schedules and expectations.
  • Coordinate all engineering disciplines as needed to ensure project deliverables are coordinated for constructability.
  • Supplement Salas O’Brien design standards and administrative procedures where needed.
  • Assist team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
  • Assist team leader in maintaining and developing client base through various business development efforts.
  • Assist market segment manager and team leader in preparation of RFP type proposal responses including project write ups, resumes, fee developments.
  • Take an active lead in proposal for work process.
  • Identify prospective clients and work in conjunction with team leader to establish relationships.
  • Identify new opportunities that may have synergistic benefit with existing business.
