About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician with advanced electrical expertise to join our team. This role demands a versatile individual capable of troubleshooting, driving process improvements, completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, contributing to projects, and executing general maintenance tasks within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with proven multi-tasking and multi-skilled technical abilities, adept at resolving complex equipment faults. This individual will work independently with minimal supervision, actively supporting and improving all aspects of key metrics: safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Journeyman status with full apprenticeship certification (4 years) in an Electrical trade.
  • Certifications in Robotics, PLC/Drives/Vision, and 24VDC circuits.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Completion of Qualified Electrical Worker Training within the last 3 years.
  • Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex jobs with minimal guidance from Engineering or Supervision.
  • Demonstrated behaviors: Safety Conscious, Takes Direction, Trains Others, Communicates Properly and Appropriately.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing for extended periods, stretching, climbing, twisting, turning, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
  • For candidates new to the electrician role or new hires, 160 hours of hands-on training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults on equipment and machinery.
  • Drive process improvements through proactive maintenance and problem-solving.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to optimize equipment performance.
  • Contribute to and support project execution.
  • Execute general maintenance duties as needed.
  • Work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Independently and safely perform tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Adhere to all prescribed Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Complete all required safety and regulatory training.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all work performed (L2l).
  • Understand, suggest updates to, and utilize electrical drawings, schematics, and work procedures, both electronically and within panels.
  • Label wiring accurately and clearly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with Visual Management and 5S standards.
  • Proactively escalate and suggest solutions to issues affecting key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Interface positively and professionally with all levels of team members.
  • Work from established procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Perform all assigned duties.
  • Partner with production to improve operator knowledge and enhance equipment efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned due to business needs.
