About The Position

The Industrial Painter applies solvent- and water-based paints to metal and other surfaces using spray equipment. The position prepares surfaces and work areas, mixes paint and matches colors, completes documentation, and maintains clean work areas. The role follows Twin City Fan’s Core Values and safety and health rules. Additional duties may be assigned depending on location and product line.

Requirements

Typically requires a high school diploma and up to 2 years of experience.
Ability to read and understand shop orders, blueprints, safety rules, and standard work instructions.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to use hand tools safely and properly.
Depending on the department, may be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting, standing, walking, reaching, and working in limited spaces.
Specific vision abilities include close, color, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

Responsibilities

Apply solvent- and water-based paints to metal and other surfaces using spray equipment.
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting.
Prepare on-site work areas by covering fixtures and filling cracks and holes with appropriate materials.
Mix paints and match colors.
Perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects.
Complete documentation and work in a timely manner.
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in the assigned space.
Act, live, and behave according to TCF Core Values.
Follow workplace safety and health rules and work in a safe, conscientious manner.
Perform additional duties as assigned based on location and product line.
