About The Position

The Industrial Painter applies solvent- and water-based paints to metal and other surfaces using spray equipment. The role prepares surfaces and work areas, mixes paints and matches colors, completes touch-ups or helps coordinate larger painting projects, and maintains required documentation and clean work areas. Additional duties may be assigned depending on location and product line. Employees are expected to act in accordance with Twin City Fan Core Values and follow workplace safety and health rules and policies. The position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and usually loud noise, with occasional exposure to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and caustic chemicals. Requirements

• Typically requires a high school diploma and up to 2 years of experience.
• Read and understand shop orders, blueprints, safety rules, and standard work instructions written in English.
• Have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Be able to read a tape measure.
• Use hand tools safely and properly.
• Meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and moving items and standing, walking, reaching, and other listed activities.
• Have close, color, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as depth perception.
• Understand and continually follow workplace safety and health rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Apply solvent- and water-based paints to metal and other surfaces using spray equipment.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting.
• Prepare work areas by covering fixtures and filling cracks and holes with appropriate materials.
• Mix paints and match colors.
• Perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects.
• Complete documentation and work in a timely manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in the assigned space.
• Act in accordance with Twin City Fan Core Values.
• Follow workplace safety and health rules and policies and work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on location and product line.
