Painters use various painting techniques that will include but are not limited to wet paint spraying and several other techniques on metal parts. Material preparation such as sand blasting, cleaning, masking, among other techniques are required.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1-2 years of experience as an Industrial Painter in a Manufacturing setting. (Non-residential painter)
  • Familiarity with epoxy paint is a plus, epoxy & zinc are an even greater plus.
  • Candidate must have experience with Airless paint sprayers.
  • Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
  • Carry/Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or coworkers.
  • Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or co/workers.
  • Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine)
  • Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
  • Possess the ability to hear.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with epoxy paint is a plus, epoxy & zinc are an even greater plus.

Responsibilities

  • Paint and apply finishing coats in accordance to blueprints and/or customer specifications.
  • Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
  • Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures.
  • Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory.
  • Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjust colors and fixing defects.
