About The Position
Rapat Corporation is seeking a hands-on Industrial Painter to prepare, blast, liquid spray, and powder coat custom material handling equipment and heavy steel fabrications. The role involves handling large steel parts and ensuring finished coatings meet specifications in a stable, safety-focused manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment painting, or metal finishing.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, job orders, and technical specifications.
- Willingness to complete Hazardous Waste Management training and strictly follow shop safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Blast heavy steel parts to specification using blast booths and multiple media types.
- Apply liquid coatings using industrial spray equipment.
- Operate powder coating booths and curing ovens.
- Safely move large steel parts through the paint line using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Read blueprints and measure wet and dry film thickness using MIL gauges.
- Complete Hazardous Waste Management training and follow shop safety standards.
