About The Position

As an Industrial Painter II, you will operate a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or precast products and are trained to mix paints and other required solutions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
3 years’ experience painting in a manufacturing environment
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to work in a high paced environment while maintaining safety standards and following all safe work practices.
A focus on prioritization, time efficiency, problem solving and teamwork.
Ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently and 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to wear a full faced respirator and work inside a paint booth.
Good visual acuity.

Responsibilities

Participate in Safe Start daily meetings.
Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S standards.
Carryout verbal and written instructions and complete jobs in a timely fashion.
Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
Ability to independently set-up, operate and perform maintenance of latex air sprayers and other paint related equipment.
Trained to mix paint colors per specification and apply graffiti protection coating.
Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
