Position Summary Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supervisor is accountable for the overall safety, security, efficiency, and cost-effective management of their team. The Supervisor must effectively lead a group of Team Members to deliver superior results across all areas of their responsibility. The ideal candidate will lead by example, using their coaching skills to develop a culture of trust by inspiring, challenging and promoting the workforce. This is a 3rd Shift Supervisor Position, overseeing the Industrial Cleaning and responsible for equipment maintenance. Schedule: 3rd Shift, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 6:00pm - 6:00am, and Alternating Saturdays, 10:00pm - 6:00am Pay Rate $60,000 -$70,000/year.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a supervisor level within the manufacturing or industrial cleaning sectors.
  • Highly mechanically proficient with a proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and review technical manuals to guide repairs and maintenance.
  • Hands-on capability to safely perform maintenance and repairs on high-pressure equipment.
  • Possesses a High School Diploma
  • Possesses a valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Ability to lead and participate in a dynamic fast-paced team-based environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to commute to the General Motors facility in Oshawa, ON for work.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in automotive paint manufacturing or specialized industrial cleaning is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train and develop up to 20 team members
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities for all classifications in industrial cleaning and paint booth operations
  • Ensure timely scheduling of training and development for team members
  • Ensure PPE is provided, used, and readily available for all industrial cleaning initiatives
  • Promote an operating culture of exceptional value through quality and efficient service delivery
  • Provide routine coaching to engage team members and develop ownership for sustainable target achievements
  • Understand and achieve all required targets for safety, customer satisfaction, financial and operating performance
  • Ensure the customer’s value proposition is clearly understood by the onsite team and that the level of customer satisfaction is validated in the customer’s KPI’s
  • Manage team accountability and performance to maximize efficiency, ensuring that the targeted profitability is achieved
  • Utilize ADP for time sheets, data entry, and payroll
  • Implement/utilize all required companies operating platforms and systems
  • Communicate with the customer to provide support, address service requests and inquiries
  • Additional duties as assigned
